
This year’s Event Awards will be located in a new space at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, with seating for up to 720 guests.
The move follows a shift in content last year.
The art deco Eventim Apollo, which underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment in 2013, is to install a new high-tech adjustable flooring system this year, which will enable the venue to transform its sloping floor overnight into a flat surface for a range of events.
Yasmin Arrigo, editor-in-chief of Event, commented: "We are thrilled to be hosting this year's Event Awards live at the Eventim Apollo. This iconic venue has a rich history of entertaining the crowds, as we hope to do for our very premier audience on the 14 October."
Heiko Kacimi-Alaoui, deputy general manager of Eventim Apollo, added: "The venue resonates with so many different people so we wanted to convert it into a multi-purpose space that was accessible for all kinds of corporate entertaining. Our hope is that this exciting new development will ensure that Eventim Apollo continues to serve as a premium live event space for many years to come."
Twelve new categories have been added to the awards this year, including Brand Experience Agency, Outstanding Creative Idea, Best Disruptive ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, Digital Experience, The Game Changer, Creative Event of the Year and Integrated Marketing ±±¾©Èü³µpk10.
