A long day of judging in which the panels were encouraged to assess each entry on its merits, produced these results. The judges' decision making was by secret ballot and calculated by Haymarket Events so not even the judges know who the winners are. So congratulations to all the Gold and Silver winners. The competition was fierce this year and those that showed effectiveness and creativity have been rewarded. A special congratulation goes to National Boat Shows and DMW productions. Turn the page to find out why all the winners have walked away with the industry's greatest accolades.
Event Awards 2004: Editor's comment
Last year's Event Awards were widely considered to be the best ever, so it was with trepidation that the call for entries went out for this year's event. We needn't have worried as the industry response was phenomenal and entries rocketed by 100%. The record number of entries led to the formation of two committees comprising key industry figures. As a result of feedback from last year we also tweaked a couple of the categories, which has resulted in Venue of the Year and Supplier of the Year. And additional business sector categories have also been added to enable agencies to showcase more of their live event work across a wider spectrum.
