The cross-Channel rail operator today (30 April) launched its Culture Connect programme, which sees it tie up with 15 major museums and galleries in London, Paris and Brussels.

Consumers travelling with Eurostar will be entitled to two-for-one entry to all paying exhibitions at the inbound destination. However, the offer is only valid for up to five days after they arrive at their destination.

Partner museums include The National Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, le Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, and the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.

Jarvis Cocker, who now lives in Paris, said: "As Ambassador for Culture Connect, I'm encouraging everyone to get on a train and explore the culture of another country."

He added: "TV, films and the internet may be great at showing you what something looks like, but they are no substitute for seeing works of art with your own eyes."
