EuroDirect sets up email data exchange club

EuroDirect is preparing for the implementation of the EU Electronic Communications Directive with the launch of E-mail Exchange, a members-only club for shared email data.

It links email addresses to postal addresses, enabling marketers to target consumers via email with the same precision afforded by postcode data. Marketers can apply more than 150 lifestyle and purchasing behaviour attributes.

E-mail Exchange was created from 90 million independently contributed consumer records, which have now been enhanced with further compliant email addresses.

It is headed by Peter Edgar, previously managing director of commercial information at Equifax.
