The agency has appointed Piyush Pankaj to oversee the department, which will work with existing Euro RSCG clients on devising search campaigns, as well as aiming to attract new business of its own.
Pankaj joins Euro RSCG London from its sister agency Euro RSCG Matrix in Bangalore, where he was the head of business development. He has also spent time running Acmic Interactive, the global digital marketing agency.
In his new role, Pankaj will work closely with Anthony Edwards, the agency's head of channel strategy, and Claire Adams, its head of social media. He will report directly to Russ Lidstone, Euro RSCG London's chief executive.
In February, Euro RSCG London created a dedicated social media unit, Cupola. Last year, the agency merged with the Havas-owned PR specialist Biss Lancaster.
Lidstone said: "As a uniquely integrated agency, it's fundamental to integrate search with digital and social media, PR, creative and technological innovation – supported by strong analytics."
