The deal allows ESPN Star Sports, which is a 50/50 venture between Disney and News Corp, to air the league on multiple platforms in 18 Asian markets.

The deal covers the three seasons starting from 2010/11.

For the first time, ESPN Star Sports will air all 380 games available for broadcast across television, online and mobile platforms, with up to 190 matches available on an on-demand basis.

The win continues ESPN Star Sports' partnership with the Premier League, which began with an initial broadcast on the network in 1995.

Richard Scudamore, Premier League chief executive, said: "We have worked with ESPN Star Sports in a number of overseas territories for many years and we are very pleased to extend that partnership."
