The festival has partnered with German beer brand Erdinger, which will be served in branded Oktoberfest Leeds steins, with a range of German wine and soft drinks also on offer.
Oktoberfest Leeds, taking place over four days from 6-9 October, will be held in the grounds of the historic Tetley site, in a 2,000-capacity German big top tent, which will be transformed into a traditional Oktoberfest arena. The tent will play host to various bars and traditional food stalls and a stage to accommodate the festival’s in-house band.
Matt Long, event organiser of Oktoberfest Leeds, said: "Although the city already has lots of existing Oktoberfest celebrations we felt that Leeds was missing a large scale version of the event to really give people a full, authentic Oktoberfest experience. The Tetley site also provides us with a perfect spot to host it, given its long brewery history and with it being in the heart of the city centre. We’re very excited to be celebrating a real taste of traditional German food, drink and music this October."
Traditional authentic German cuisine will be served up all weekend long, including Bavarian favourites such as bratwurst, brezel, schnitzel and hend, alongside vegetarian options.
To celebrate Oktoberfest last year, casual restaurant chain Herman Ze German teamed up with Elephant Gin and secret event specialists, The Candlelight Club, to in London.
