E.ON, the energy company, is holding a pitch for its centralised European above-the-line and below-the-line business.
Interested agencies were asked to include UK thinking at chemistry meetings last week, but sources said the process does not affect agency relationships in local markets. The review is being run centrally out of E.ON’s German headquarters.
In the UK, the account is handled by Engine. A spokesman for E.ON in the UK confirmed the review would not affect its UK advertising arrangements with Engine. E.ON’s German office declined to comment.
Engine won the integrated business – as WCRS and Partners Andrews Aldridge – in April 2015, with work commencing in May of that year. Engine dropped its agency brands at the beginning of 2019
Dentsu Aegis Network has worked on the brand’s media planning and buying since 2016, when it moved from MediaCom. Vizeum runs the estimated £10m business in the UK.
