England to don 'England 2018' warm-up tops

The friendly international takes place on 17 November at Wembley, just weeks before England discovers whether it has been successful in its bid to host the pre-eminent football tournament.

Morrisons, BA, BT, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Umbro are the major sponsors of the bid, in which England are joint favourites with Russia.  But none of the sponsors’ branding will appear on the warm-up tops. Instead it will simply read "England 2018".

The host nation will be announced on 2 December in Zurich, where David Beckham and prime minister David Cameron are expected to in attendance to support the bid.

At previous England internationals, branding from the 2018 sponsors has appeared around the stadium, including on flags.

The 2018 campaign has featured a major public campaign, including a designated 2018 website and activity on social media outlets, such as Facebook and Twitter.

It is thought the 2018 bid has attracted more than two million supporters since its inception.
