Eyefall, which works for brands such as Endemol and Universal Music, joins Engine's growing body of communications businesses that also include online agency Meme and creative agency Dave.
The digital agency was set up by managing director Dave King and Scott Muir in 2004. Prior to the acquisition, Eyefall has already worked with a number of Engine subsidiaries on campaigns for BMW and 118 118.
Julian Hough, business development director at Engine, said: "Eyefall is an excellent strategic fit with Engine and is key to the growth of our digital offering."
King said: "Search marketing should be integrated into the complete marketing mix and we are extremely excited to be entering the Engine group of companies while on the cusp of a wave of growth."
The Engine Group recently lost its chief executive Stephen Woodford, who left to take the reins at DDB London, and took on Peter Scott, founder of WCRS, to replace him.
