
Toumazis, previously, Disney-ABC-ESPN Television managing director in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada, has been appointed to the new role of chief commercial officer.
Toumazis will oversee the worldwide commercial activities for the Endemol Group. He will be in charge of building Endemol's distribution business, which incorporates a rapidly growing library of more than 2,200 non-scripted formats and more than 200 scripted titles, and will manage worldwide sales and distribution of all Endemol's non-scripted formats, scripted programming and library.
He will also build and manage Endemol's third-party distribution business, as well as co-productions and pre-sales of scripted programming, to support Endemol's growth in this area.
Toumazis has been executive vice-president and managing director of Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada, where he was in charge of programme, new-media and channel distribution. He also sat on Disney's European management board, with special responsibilities for some of the key developing markets, including the Middle East, Turkey, Greece and Africa.
