The MASStastic Voyage roadshow will take the mobile laboratory truck to countries including the UK, Germany, France and Spain in November, and across southern and eastern Europe in the first half of 2013.
It will introduce AB SCIEX’s products to the pharmaceutical and research markets, after a successful tour in the US.
EMS designed the truck to showcase the company’s mass spectrometers - instruments that can measure the masses of atoms and molecules.
The lab vehicle has a registration point where iPads and plasma screens display games and information, a product zone where visitors can learn about the equipment and a demonstration area where they can try it out. There is also a flexible meeting area.
Justin Isles, EMS client services director, said: "AB SCIEX products are of particularly high value, as well being heavyweight and used for sensitive analysis, so we were challenged to find a way to make their lab-on-wheels safe and secure when in transit. The environment is high-tech and spacious with a scientific edge. It makes the most of the technology, providing a valuable environment for visitors to learn and get to grips with the kit in their own time."
