Emap is restructuring its media interests to make it easier for
clients to find advertising solutions across its titles, and to drive
revenues.
The restructure will see the company divided into four market-focused
networks from next month, each with its own chief executive.
Emap Performance, the group’s music network, is headed by former chief
executive of Emap Radio, Tim Schoonmaker.
Emap Elan, the group’s lifestyle network, is headed by Paul Keenan,
former managing director of Emap Metro.
The third division, Emap Automotive, is headed by Malcolm Gough, former
managing director of Emap Active. It will draw together Emap’s existing
consumer and business publications, web sites, DM services and
events.
Finally, Emap Health will include all the group’s healthcare titles.
It is headed by Tim Brooks, former divisional managing director of Emap
healthcare. The four heads will report to chief executive, Kevin
Hand.
Tom Toumazis, who launched Emap’s radio sales arm, Emap On Air, in 1997,
becomes director of UK advertising, with responsibility across all the
titles within the former Elan, Metro and Active divisions, as well as
all Emap’s radio and TV interests.
