Emap Performance supports new-look Q with national ads

Emap Performance is supporting the redesigned Q magazine with a £600,000 national campaign.

The Designers Republic, a Sheffield-based agency, has created a press campaign after recently winning the Q account. Press is supported online and with ads on Emap's TV music channels.

Press work features six executions to position Q as the essential guide to modern music. The first execution uses the line "Upload what to download every month".

The campaign launches in the first week of August to support the September issue of Q, the first to feature the new design. It will run for six months in titles including The Guardian, The Observer, Metro, FHM and Mojo.

Emap's investment in the title follows a sharp decline in its circulation.

In 2003, its sales fell 10 per cent to 161,634.

Ian Anderson, the founder of The Designers Republic, said: "Our approach has been to focus on how Q is the music fan's bible."

The photographer for the press work was Ian Nolan.
