Emap launches event to talk to clients and agencies

LONDON – Emap is assembling its top editorial and advertising people at a two-day event it is running for marketing directors, strategic planners and creative agencies.

'The Art of Engagement' event on March 28 and 29 is a new initiative from Emap2, the recently formed creative and strategy division within Emap Advertising. It will be held at The Music Room, London, W1.

David Pullan, managing director of FHM Worldwide, Mike Burgess, wireless editor of Emap Interactive, and Fiona McIntosh, editor-in-chief of women's lifestyle magazines, are among those participating in a debate on how media brands deepen their relationships with consumers.

Speakers from outside Emap include: John Grant, co-founder of St Luke's and author of the 'New Marketing Manifesto' on marketing campaigns in the future; and Susie Moore, head of brand and marketing communications at O2, on integrated marketing.

Marcus Rich, managing director of Emap Advertising, will discuss the future role of media owners for clients.

"This event aims to inform and inspire as well as demonstrate our commitment to exploring the future of effective and engaging marketing communications," he said.
