Heat: success results in new titles |
Emap Performance is cashing in on the success of Heat with plans to launch new entertainment and celebrity titles.
It is currently recruiting celebrity-obsessed staff for "major new projects".
The division was hurt by the closure of Kingsize, its alternative music magazine, which shut down last year after just six months having failed to reach its targets. Performance appears to be moving into more mainstream territory for its latest plans.
Andrew Harrison was promoted to editorial director across the network in June last year, charged with researching new magazine projects for the group, and is heading up the new launches.
Elsewhere in Emap, Jane Henley, head of digital sales at Emap Advertising, has been made customer service director and will be implementing a more focused customer service strategy across the entire company following the completion of a full customer service audit.
"At Emap, our customers are of paramount importance. We aim to ensure that meeting our customers' needs is second nature to our teams," Henley said.
Emap Advertising managing director Dave King said:"This appointment will put someone on the board who is 100% accountable to deliver service to the customer and will position Emap as a customer-centric company on every level."
