Painter is currently MD of BSkyB’s customer intelligence arm Sky IQ. A data expert, he previously worked at ClarityBlue and Experian before joining Sky as a consultant in 2009.
Emap Connect organises BETT, the world’s largest educational solutions event. Founded in 1985, the event attracts almost 30,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors.
Painter replaces David Gilbertson, who stepped down in May after in the company.
The two companies are still in discussion over Painter’s start date.
