The email delivery company explains the factors behind the decline in a white paper, 'Analysis of Open Rate Trend Data', which it has released together with its Q2 2005 EMEA Email Trend Report.
The factors are ISP technology changes, the age of files, and consumers becoming more selective about what they open.
The UK's open rate is just below the EMEA average of 32%, which is down by a fifth from 40% last year.
