Elle acquired the Aberdeen-based business in a deal funded by existing shareholders and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

"Aberdeen has been identified as a key market for us to realise the vision of Elle Events and fulfil our growth plans," said chief executive and sole shareholder of Elle Events, Joanna Daley.

"We have long admired Hamilton Rose, and its recent win as the only Scottish event company on the BP roster speaks volumes about its abilities."

The company will now employ nine full-time members of staff across two offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Its turnover is expected to reach £4m by the end of the current financial year.
