Electronic Arts in reshuffle of roles as Wills departs

Electronic Arts, the world's biggest video games company, has parted company with vice-president of European marketing Mark Wills, prompting a reshuffle.

Wills, who only joined the company last autumn, is understood to have left without a job to go to.

EA has promoted UK marketing director Al King to director of consumer marketing for Europe and moved European marketing director Jonathan Bunney to director of product marketing for Europe.

The firm is beefing up its marketing function with a number of hirings who will report to the pair.

Wills joined EA from Apple where he was worldwide brand manager (Marketing, October 25, 2001). Previously he was global advertising manager at Coca-Cola.

At the same time EA has hired Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam to advertise its FIFA 2003 football title.
