Eidos unleashes campaign

Eidos unleashes a £2m campaign for the latest in its Tomb Raider series on June 18, two days before the launch of the 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness' game. The TV ads focus heavily on footage of the game, which is available for PlayStation 2 and PC. Eidos hopes the game's graphical superiority over previous incarnations will boost sales. Outdoor activity comprises bus sites and five-inch cutouts of Lara Croft on lampposts outside branches of Game outlets. It will also use life-size Lara Croft standees at point of sale. Creative is by Feref, with media strategy and buying by Rocket. Eidos is also running a week-long promotion in The Times and a number of prime-time TV competitions.
