Egg appoints direct agencies for on- and offline work

LONDON – Online bank Egg has handed its £30m direct response account to sister agencies Claydon Heeley Jones Mason and Agency Republic.

Claydon Heeley will handle offline duties, while Agency Republic will oversee online work. They will develop a strategy to improve the cross-selling of Egg services.

It is the first time Egg has retained a digital agency and follows its decision in July to increase its direct budget.

The appointments were made by head of brand communications Richard Taylor, following a pitch involving EHS Brann, Tequila\London and Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel. The pitch was managed by the AAR.

Lowe Plus previously handled Egg's direct marketing, while digital marketing was managed on a project basis.

Egg's relationship with Mother, its creative agency, is unaffected.
