EE has commissioned a YouTube series featuring Spencer FC, a football vlogger with 700,000 followers, to promote its partnership with Wembley Stadium.
EE became Wembley’s first lead brand partner when it signed a six-year deal in February 2014. To raise the profile of that collaboration, Poke devised a ten-part series in which Spencer FC recruits players to take on fellow YouTube star MiniMinter (who has 2.5 million followers) in a match at the stadium, which will be screened on 8 August. England footballers past and present, including Matt Le Tissier and Andros Townsend, make guest appearances. The work was created by Jake Coper and directed by Ian Aryeh through Hoi Polloi. Media was handled by MEC.
