Edwards replaces Mansfield as Natmags MD

Natmags has announced that Duncan Edwards is to succeed Terry

Mansfield as managing director in March.

The appointment marks the end of a patient three year wait for Edwards,

who has been managing director designate since becoming deputy MD in

1998.

Mansfield, who joined Natmags in 1969, was expected to retire over a

year ago but has showed no signs of wanting to relinquish the Natmags

helm. He will take up a new role of president and chief executive, and

will continue in his temporary capacity of publishing director of the

affluent group - providing maternity cover for Lizzie Kershaw.

Frank Bennack, chief executive of parent company Hearst Corporation,

remains chairman of Natmags.

Edwards started his career in ad sales with Media Week before moving to

Natmags as ad manager of Company.
