EDITORIAL: UIP's Ali G press release is cheap stunt

No surprise that posters promoting Ali G's new film and showing the spoof rapper with his hand on a woman's naked bottom are banned by the Advertising Standards Authority. No surprise either that United International Pictures immediately issued a press release publicising the decision. Another crude attempt to gain column inches out of a witless piece of "creative

work. No wonder advertising can still get held in such distain.
