ECB signs Toyota and Blue Square for Tests

Commercial interest in cricket is booming on the eve of the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) international summer schedule, with Toyota and Blue Square becoming the latest brands to sign sponsorship deals.

The links will cover England cricket's seven Test Match Grounds (TMGs).

Toyota's Avensis model will become the official car partner of the events.

The deal will include prime perimeter sites and on-site car displays.

In an extension to its existing agreement with the seven stadia, Blue Square will continue to use its 'Blue Square blimp' to transmit aerial pictures of the match and surrounding local attractions throughout this summer's TV coverage.

The two brands will join a limited number of exclusive sponsors across the TMGs, which include Red Stripe, Goiya, Friends Provident, Invesco Perpetual and Nando's.

All the deals have been brokered through The Frontiers Group and cover all cricket played at the arenas, both international and domestic, during the summer.

The sponsorships mean that England's flagship venue, Lord's, has now sold out its commercial packages for the season. It will host England's opening Test of the summer this week.

This season England will take on the West Indies, New Zealand and India in seven Test matches and 13 one-day internationals.
