
The sponsorship campaign, created by agencies Harty Designs and Street Monkey, is part of ebookers.com's current marketing activity to boost brand awareness within mainstream consumer audiences, referring to the current brand message, "book easier, travel happier".
Media buying is handled by MediaCom.
The 15-second promotion is an animated sequence of a person lying on a sofa and surfing the ebookers website. The scene cuts to a series of world landmarks, including the leaning tower of Pisa.
The animation finally settles on the same internet surfer lying on a beach and introduces the strapline "Secret destinations uncovered with ebookers.com".
Ebookers.com will sponsor all four episodes in the series, which shows McDonald exploring different parts of the Mediterranean, including Santorini, Istanbul, Cairo and the Amalfi Coast.
Ebookers.com will host a , featuring the best deals it has on offer to the locations McDonald visits.
