Ebookers reviews marketing strategy

Online travel agency Ebookers.com is reviewing its £500,000 media planning and buying account as part of an overall review of its marketing activity.

The vast majority of Ebookers.com's advertising spend in the 12 months to October this year was in press advertising, with the rest concentrated in online and direct mail.
The company has also appointed travel specialist Conrad Advertising to buy and plan classified advertising as part of its overall review.
Conrad Advertising is a full- service classified and direct response agency, specialising in travel, property and search advertising.
Earlier this month, creative agency Hall Moore CHI picked up the advertising account as the company looks to increase its share of the online travel sector next year, including the launch of a new website.
Ebookers.com was established in 1998, formed from the original company Flightbookers. Ebookers.com is an online travel agency that offers worldwide travel including package holidays and modular travel, as well as tours, car hire and sports packages.
Travel network Travelport acquired Ebookers.com in February 2005. Travelport currently operates more than 20 travel brands, including Orbitz, an online travel agency, and GTA, a wholesaler of global travel content.
Ebookers plc owns other travel brands including MrJet, Flightbookers and Travelbag.
