easyJet to pool European work

easyJet is to run consistent advertising across its main European territories, and is searching for an advertising agency network to handle the £50m business.

The appointment will mark the first time the no-frills airline has used one group to handle advertising in all the countries in which it operates. The pitch will be handled by the AAR, with the process being overseen by easyJet brand and marketing manager David Maliveo.

easyJet said that its media, handled by OMD UK, would not be affected by the review.

The airline, which operates 219 routes between 67 European airports, works with a number of agencies on a project basis.

Earlier this year The Bank created an easyJet campaign aimed at business travellers using the strapline 'You're a business. You work it out' (Marketing, 27 April).
