The successful candidate, who will report to chief executive Andrew Fitzmaurice, will have full commercial responsibility for the business across Europe.
Marketing is currently overseen by easyGroup director of corporate affairs James Rothnie and easyGroup founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
Haji-Ioannou is to step down as chairman of easyJet in November, but will continue to retain a high-profile role within the group's other businesses.
The company, which was formerly known as easyRentacar, but changed its name at the end of last year, said it will have a turnover of £27m in the year to the end of September, which should increase to around £100m by 2004. EasyCar has also said it may hold an IPO in 2004.
To date, advertising has been created in-house with media through PHD.
The company has spent more than £1m on advertising over the past 12 months.
Future marketing and advertising will highlight the fact that its cars can be hired on an hour-by-hour basis at 40p per hour.
