UEFA has sold the tournament's exclusive games development rights to EA, with the first title set to appear in February to coincide with the start of the Champions League's second stage.
EA is expected to plough several million pounds into the promotion of the game across Europe between February and the end of this year's competition in May.
The games company is also planning to use promotional tie-ups with players and clubs in the competition to build awareness among those clubs' fan bases.
The title will be available on all major formats, including consoles and PCs.
The tie-up strengthens EA's hold on the football computer game market.
It already produces the bestselling FIFA franchise, which last year sold 6m copies around the world, including 1m in the UK alone.
