The company will become the Premier League football club's official video-game partner over a three-year period. EA Sports will use the partnership to promote its FIFA 09 football title to Chelsea's fanbase.
EA Sports has also become the first advertiser to buy space on LED ad installations at the club's Stamford Bridge stadium.
Last month, EA Sports announced the release this autumn of enhanced platform-specific versions of FIFA 09. These are intended to improve the gaming experience by tweaking the game's specifications to suit the console on which it is played. Versions will be released for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
