Dumeu and O'Leary named to top posts at FutureBrand

NEW YORK - FutureBrand Worldwide, part of the Interpublic Group, has appointed Jean-Louis Dumeu, the former European Landor Associates chairman, as its new chairman and chief executive officer.

Dumeu was formerly chairman of Landor in Europe, Middle East and Asia and has more than 20 years of global branding experience working with clients such as Danone, France Telecom and Kraft. Dumeu will relocate from Paris to FutureBrand headquarters in New York.

FutureBrand also has appointed Richard O'Leary to president and chief operating officer. O'Leary joined FutureBrand from Interpublic's McCann-Erickson in August 2002 as CEO of North America and was elevated to worldwide chief operating officer last year. In his new role he will assist Dumeu in driving client growth for FutureBrand.

David Bell, chairman and chief executive officer of Interpublic, said: "Jean-Louis is a major talent. His branding expertise and leadership abilities will make him a great asset for FutureBrand. He will help move forward the changes already in motion to make the agency an essential partner for clients, as well as other Interpublic member companies."
