
The gala will be hosted by Vernon Kay and will include a three-course meal created by event caterer Absolute Taste and Michelin star chef Tom Aikens and entertainment from British soul singer-songwriter Beverley Knight and The Noisettes.
It will be set within specially designed, laboratory-like surroundings featuring a giant inflatable dome displaying some of the charity’s groundbreaking research for everyone to see.
The campaign hopes to engage the UK public in a nationwide effort to get involved and raise millions for the fight against cancer.
Tomorrow evening (19 Oct) the first-ever UK Stand Up To Cancer telethon will broadcast live on Channel 4, hosted by Davina McCall, Christian Jessen and Alan Carr.
Stand Up To Cancer was conceived in America in 2008. Since then it has attracted high-profile supporters including Gwyneth Paltrow, George Clooney, Rhianna, Mariah Carey, Will Smith, Beyoncé, Jennifer Aniston and Michael Douglas.
Drive has partnered with Cancer Research UK on events including the annual Emeralds & Ivy Ball and Sound & Vision at Abbey Road Studios in the past.
