DoubleClick buys tracking technology from 24/7 Media's Sabela Media

Online advertising firm DoubleClick has acquired the technology assets of global online ad serving, tracking and analysis company Sabela Media from 24/7 Media for an undisclosed sum.

Sabela Media is headquartered in Sydney, Australia and will complement DoubleClick's operations in Asia, following the closure of its Australian ad sales office last year.

Sabela Media has around 150 clients worldwide which will be offered the chance to migrate to DoubleClick's Dart (dynamic advertising reporting and targeting) system or AdServer platform.

The vendor, 24/7 Media, will retain assets not associated with the intellectual property rights being acquired by DoubleClick. 24/7 Media says it is selling the assets to eliminate technology redundancies, reduce its cash burn and focus on the expansion of its 24/7 Connect ad-serving technology.
