Domino's backs ITV talent shows

Domino's Pizza is to sponsor the second series of Britain's Got Talent on ITV1 and America's Got Talent on ITV2.

The pizza-delivery company, which also sponsors The Simpsons on Sky One, will support the tie-up with online work on www.itvlocal.com and mobile activity. The deal was brokered by Arena BLM.

The first series of the Saturday-night variety act show, which is judged by Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden, began last June. Presented by Ant & Dec, it gained an average audience of 8.3m and a 35% share of viewing. At its peak, the programme drew 11.6m viewers, according to ITV.

The first series was won by former mobile-phone salesman Paul Potts, who has now sold more than 2m albums. The singer has had a number-one hit in 16 countries, including Ireland, Australia, Taiwan and Korea.
