DLKW set to retain £15m government sexual health business

Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners is set to retain the Department of Health's 拢15 million sexual health account.

The DoH has raised its budget from 拢2 million, in an attempt to combat the surge in incidences of sexually transmitted diseases among young people in the UK. It is a crucial brief for the Government, and DLKW's work is currently being tested in research groups.

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R competed against DLKW for the account.

DLKW is the incumbent, but COI Communications was asked to put the brief out to tender in response to the rise of sexually transmitted infections.

DLKW's most recent work on the account was a press campaign that used saucy seaside postcard-style humour to raise awareness of the risks of having unprotected sex.

The new campaign is expected to break in early 2006 and is likely to include TV, radio, print and online executions.
