The press ad, which is running tomorrow (2 July), issues a good luck message to the Ghana players as part of the press ad. The ad is running in the free Metro newspaper.

The ad runs with the text "Watch the Black Stars shine again tonight" and "Good luck from one feisty Ghanaian player to another".

During the past week a number of tactical ads have run across print titles. Car brands Kia and Nissan both ran ads in national newspapers paying tongue-in-cheek reference to England's World Cup defeat by Germany.

Divine's tactical advertising mirrors a similar move it undertook during the last World Cup.

Ghana is the last remaining African team in the World Cup. Ghana plays Uruguay on 7.30pm on Friday July 2.

Divine, a rival brand to Lindt, is Fairtrade-certified and is sold in supermarkets including Tesco’s and Waitrose.
