Disney and Sky team up for High School Musical cinema promotion

LONDON - Disney Channel and Sky have joined forces with Odeon Kids Club in a six-month sponsorship deal building on the runaway success of High School Musical.

Under the sponsorship, which starts on 6th April, fans of the original movie will send in their ideas for a High School Musical music video.

The best will be professionally filmed and screened in cinemas across the country.

Disney Channel has announced the sponsorship on the anniversary of its move into the Sky and Virgin Media basic packages, which has earned it a 60% jump in market share.

In the first quarter of 2007, Disney Channel outstripped Five's audience share; in the pay-TV sector, it also outstripped BBC2 and Channel 4.
