Discovery names former Sky music chief to creative role

LONDON - Discovery Networks has appointed Sky's former music channel chief Lester Mordue to the role of creative manager of Discovery UK.

Mordue, a former VH-1 executive who left Sky last year, will be in charge of on-air branding, scheduling and continuity across the main Discovery UK channels.

He will report to Discovery general manager David Abrahams.

The channel has also poached Five's head of broadcast strategy and planning Paul Mortimer to head the same role at Discovery UK. He will work closely with Mordue and oversee the channel's scheduling and programme strategy.
