DIRECT: Learndirect £2m activity remains in Carlson Group

The University for Industry (UfI) has reappointed Carlson Marketing

Group to the £2m direct marketing account for learndirect, the

government's flagship scheme to promote lifelong learning.

Carlson, which has worked on the business since 1999, won the work in a

pitch against Partners Andrews Aldridge, Perspectives Red Cell and Cramm

Francis Woolf. The pitch was managed by COI Communications.

Separately, UfI has hired Norwich Union marketer Cheryl Simm as head of

marketing, reporting to marketing director Phil Wade. Wade, a former

Mars and Del Monte marketer, joined UfI last June.
