Digital: Sex health drive on Habbo Hotel

The government is using the Habbo Hotel virtual community to target teenage internet users as part of its 'RU thinking about it?' sexual-health campaign.

The Department for Education and Skills and the Department of Heath are jointly funding a digital campaign, created by integrated agency iris, that will run across the social-networking site.

The activity will include the creation of sexual-health chat rooms in the Habbo community, where advisers adopting the personas of a pair of Inuits will be available to help users.

Billboards will be placed around the Habbo community to flag up the chat rooms, while virtual hotel staff will hand out ice creams to convey the campaign's 'chill out' message.
