Digital: MTV backs Best with digital drive

MTV UK is supporting its reality show, Totally Calum Best: The Best is Yet to Come, with a wide-ranging online and mobile drive.

The programme follows Best as he attempts to shed his playboy image and stay celibate for 50 days.

It is supported by online video diaries in which Best talks about his experiences, as well as seeded content on social networking sites including MySpace and Bebo. Promotional mobile content will include videos, wallpapers and voice tones.

The series, created by Zigzag Productions, follows controversial MTV celebrity reality shows Totally Jodie Marsh: Who'll Take Her Up the Aisle? and Kerry Katona: Crazy in Love.

Best has made a career in reality TV, appearing in Sky One's The Match, ITV's Celebrity Love Island and its spin-off Calum, Fran and Dangerous Danan. Totally Calum Best begins on 27 July.
