Simon Lent, currently Digby's opposite number at Granada Enterprises, effectively becomes his number two as the London sales leader. Beneath Lent, there will be three agency account groups, all of which have yet to be appointed.
Digby, whose appointment was first predicted in ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 (14 November), will be in charge of regional and national sales for ITV, ITV2 and the ITV News Channel, interactive and online. He will also represent ITV on the BACC and TV Eye. ITV's broadcast sponsorship efforts - currently handled as a different department - will also come under his remit.
The future of ITV's third- party sales, comprising the Irish channel TV3 and Granada's digital joint venture channels Men & Motors and Plus, is uncertain. Plus is likely to be closed and a new, wholly owned ITV Gold channel launched using Carlton and Granada's back catalogue.
Elsewhere, Jill Kerslake, Granada's director of operations, takes on a similar role within ITV Sales, while Andy Bagnall, Granada's planning director, takes on the new role as the director of knowledge management.
He will be in charge of research and managing third-party ITV sales relationships, such as the one with Scottish Media Group.
Debbie Chalet, the chief executive of Carlton Screen Advertising, retains her business title but becomes the director of cinema.
The final board position of director of customer relationship management in charge of client sales has yet to be announced but is likely not to be drawn from the ranks of Carlton or Granada.
