Diary: Turkey of the Week - In-house/Specsavers

Glen Mutel is often annoyed by the latest Specsavers ad, which was produced in-house:

"This is the lamest execution from a consistently dreadful campaign, which, in case you've missed it, has attempted to unify a series of ill-conceived, badly written, badly acted films under the spurious tagline: 'Should have gone to Specsavers.' In this one, a sad middle-aged man tediously outdoes his daughter's boyfriend by boasting about the savings he has made at Specsavers. The finer points of the optician's offer are lost amid the pointlessness of the action. Playground stuff."
