That dynamic double act, the Cheeky Girls, may have failed to impress the Pop Idol judges but they're living proof that talent isn't always a prerequisite for success. So it's good to hear that twins Gabriela and Monica Irimia are putting their appeal to good use and supporting a charity. The bare-faced Cheeky ones turned up to the Scottish Athletics Annual Dinner, held in aid of ChildLine at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, and closed the evening's awards ceremony by performing (Ed - read miming) their single Boys and Girls. Apparently guests including Steve Cram and Liz McColgan got a sprint on to leave before the twins could collar them for tips on hot pants - or running shorts, as Cram used to call them.
