DIARY: Publicis in eel trouble as slippery customers crash farewell drinks

If you're facing the tricky problem of what to get your colleagues as a leaving present (and, let's face it, most of you who are still in a job probably are), then here's Publicis with a handy suggestion of what not to do.

Last week, Ben Carey and Henrik Delehag, the creative team behind the Hula Hoops "electric eel" campaign, were in the pub saying their goodbyes when they were presented with their very own bucket of eels.

With all the neat predictability you'd expect from a Diary piece, the eels proceeded to escape and run (well, more like slither) amok among the understandably disconcerted drinkers.

We think that Ben and Henrik should consider themselves very lucky that they hadn't worked on the Velvet account.
