It’s been said that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone,
but it’s funny just how quickly people in agencies can be replaced.
Before Christmas ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 received a press release from FCB London
boasting of its winning the pounds 3 million Coors account. In
accordance with standard press release practice, several key personnel
were quoted saying how happy they were with the win, including FCB’s UK
chief executive, Chris Rendel.
As the original release had been sent out before the announcement that
Rendel had been sacked, an amended release was then dispatched,
containing an alternative quote from Rendel’s successor, Robert
Hamer.
On closer inspection, we noticed the quote was similar to the original -
in fact, it was identical. How nice to see that Hamer agrees with
everything Rendel said.
