DIARY: Heading into Virgin territory

The nation's best Noel Edmonds lookalike Sir Richard Branson was on

hand last month to help Virgin Experience launch a brochure of the

incentive gifts people can order when they buy Virgin goods.

The incentive gifts division of Branson's empire gave 150 journalists

and suppliers the chance to "dance, ride, fly, relax, eat, drink and be

merry" at Kensington Roof Gardens. Celebrity chef Raymond Blanc turned

up to promote his Oxfordshire hotel as a "Virgin experience".

Guests were able to practise their golf techniques or relax with a mini

facial. Other entertainment included a Lego model-making demonstration

and a live eagle, although Diary hopes superchef Blanc didn't turn the

bird into lunch.
