Diary: Grey keeps it real with assistance of So Solid

Is Grey London trying to address its reputation for being, well, grey by nature by taking lessons from the UK's So Solid Crew? Maybe - the agency had a visit from the collective last week.

Readers who know their Asher Ds from their Megamans will also be aware that So Solid, like Grey, are no strangers to controversy.

But Grey's recent problems seem trivial compared with those endured by the band, including a shooting at a Lisa Maffia concert and a four-year prison sentence for G-Man, who was found guilty of fleeing a suspected drug deal with a loaded gun.

As it turns out, Grey was not taking lessons on how to update its corporate and rather staid image or how to manage its PR better. Two Crew members entertained staff as a reward for their work on anti-gun awareness for Mothers Against Guns.
